Windfall Lake

Jeremy Niemi, Vice President, Geology for Noront Resources is the qualified person who prepared or supervised the preparation of the scientific and technical information disclosed herein.

Summary (This project is currently on a care-and-maintenance program.)

Windfall Lake Location Map

This project currently covers two adjacent claim blocks (1,440 hectares) of which Noront holds a 100% interest in Chibougamau Mining District in Urban Township (Abitibi Region), Quebec.

Advanced drilling (over 200 holes to date) outlined a number of high grade gold zones at various depths including 4.8 meters of 52.3 ounces per ton of gold.

The Company and its engineers designed and permitted an exploration ramp (4.5 meter diameter) to bulk sample some of these zones. The ramp was constructed to facilitate the geological understanding of the mineralized system.

In the second quarter, the Company completed phase 1 work at the Windfall Lake. The results of this work have been compiled and Windfall Lake has been put on care and maintenance with all work at the site halted for the winter. Results from the Phase 1 underground exploration program were inconclusive and given the liquidity preservation strategy of the Company at this time no further exploration is merited. The Company continues to examine alternatives at Windfall and how it can best benefit Noront.

Full disclosure on Windfall can be found in Noront's MD&A on the Regulatory Filings page
